Canoe Rental/Lease Agreement
The undersigned lessee agrees to rent the canoe described below at the rate and conditions established by the lessor, Haliburton Forest and Wild Life Reserve Ltd. (Haliburton Forest) and to furnish the required deposit, which will be refunded upon return of the rental canoe in a condition satisfactory to Haliburton Forest. The lessee agrees to pay for any and all damages to the canoe caused while in his/her possession.
The lessee agrees to abide by all rules governing the safe operation of canoes, especially, but not limited to: wearing a PFD at all times, using the appropriate caution, ensuring possession of a safety kit including a bailing bucket, whistle, rope and flashlight in the canoe for emergency purposes. Should any of these not be returned, Haliburton Forest will charge the lessee the new replacement value for any missing item(s): $10.00 for each item, or $20.00 for the entire kit, or if it is not returned in the same condition as when it left.
The lessee agrees to assume all risks and liability for the use and operation of the rented canoe. The lessee agrees to hold harmless the lessor, its successors, heirs, and assigns from any and all claims for bodily injury and property of the lessee and/or passengers. The lessee agrees to lease the canoe on an “as is” basis and acknowledges that the subject canoe has been taken over in good and safe working condition.
The lessee confirms that he/she is in a physical condition which enables him/her to operate a canoe. The lessee confirms that he/she has been introduced to the operation of the canoe by Haliburton Forest. Furthermore the lessee confirms that he/she is aware of the potential dangers involved in operating a canoe.
You are responsible for full replacement cost of the canoe if it is stolen while in your possession. Credit Card # of lessee which will be billed in the event of damage:
